I took the NCLEX today, nervous....

Nursing Students NCLEX

I have been reading the forums over the past couple of weeks and I really love to see the comments. They are very supportive.

I took the NCLEX RN exam today and got 133 or so questions. I do not feel like I passed and it does seem like most people that pass have a low number of questions from what I see on the forum. I felt like I was guessing way too much to pass, it took me about 2 1/2 hours.

I had a lot of priority questions, 4 list all that apply, no math. I studied hard for it out of 4 books with no review course taken. At this point if I failed I don't know how to study for the next time. Thanks to all of you who give support through this web site!

hey guys...just out of curiousity...when the computer shuts off and your test ends...do you think the people at the test center knows if you either passed or failed if they check your name in their computer afterwards???That would be cool if they can just tell you right after you take NCLEX to end the agony of waiting for a few more days...hehehe:)

i got 265 questions in my nclex exam...certainly i passed.i did study very well using kaplan and most of all NCSBN!!!!..plus lots of prayers....to all test takers..goodluck

It's official, I am an RN, I checked at exactly 48 hrs after my scheduled time and there it was those 4 letters PASS. My family was all gathered around the computer and I had to bite their heads off for them to go away and let me see on my own. Thank God that it's over! To all of you waiting for results, have faith. I was almost sure I didn't pass because I though it was the hardest test I had ever taken. Good Luck to all!!!!!

Thanks, I found out today that the number of questions really does not matter because I passed the exam with 130 something questions. To all of you out there stay positive I really thought I had failed so stay positive!

I tried to get my mind off thinking about the results by watching movies to distract myself otherwise I was going to go crazy until I knew one way or the other.

Thanks for everyone's support!

I always like to give advice so here I go:

Don't rush through the questions, take your time because you have 6 hours to take the test and chances are that the computer will probably shut off early.

There is a web site out there that seems to follow the Kaplan philosophy of knowing how to read the test questions. After taking the test I found it and wish I would have found it before the test. The website is http://caring4you.net/answer.html. The subject is how to choose the right answer.

I studied by doing about 2,000 test questions. I don't know if that really helped but at least I have more knowledge in my head now that I am an RN.

I would study the Kaplan way if I had to do it over. Suzi's Saunder's plan seemed like a good way to study too. I wish I would have done that and the Kaplan way of knowing how to read the question. By combining the two I don't know how you can go wrong.

Good luck to all who have taken the test and to all who are going to study.

You will be nurses and have a positive impact on this world!

Whoo hoo!! Congrats!!!

Congratulations to all! I found out today at 11:00am that I too had PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!! I got 85 questions.

Specializes in ICU, Cardiology, Mother/Baby, LTC.

It took 48 hours to receive the results. I finished my test in 1hr. I thought, "Is this all there is"? I wanted more questions!

Congrats to all who passed the exam and goodluck for all who are taking it and/or waiting for the result
