I took my NCLEX PN and stopped at 198

Published

Hello Everyone!!

Yesterday I took my Nclex PN and the computer cut me off on question 197 or 198, I cant recall! but I remember that I had like 15 select all the apply, 5 picture questions, one EKG strip, 6 scenarios, a lot of prioritizing, delegating, one math question, a lot of pharm, put in order, one cultural, few diets, and had 3 questions that asked about signs and symptoms.

Has anyone had ther computer shut off on the 190's questions ???? I really want to know if I passed or failed.. I just cant stop thinking about it. 4- 6 weeks seems like a long time to know... The questions were tricky and confusing..! I gave all my best!! :/

Well, unfortunately nothing in what you posted really gives an idea as to whether you passed or failed. People pass or fail at every single number between the minimum and maximum; the number itself....like yours.....really doesn't mean anything. Other than, of course, that's the point at which the computer either deemed you as competent (to a 95% certainty) or incompetent (the same way).

If this is your first time taking the exam, the odds are greatly in your favor, so take heart :) Somewhere around 90% of first-time testers DO pass, so.....take a deep breath, take a walk, clean out your kitchen cupboards to make use of pent-up anxiety energy, and it'll be over soon!

THank you so much!!!!

Your words really helped me a lot ! Yes, it is my first time taking the NCLEX PN and everyone who were in my class has passed with only 85 questions... and others with less than the 150's questions.

I think I am the only one from them who stopped at 198 questions, the computer didn't let me finish to 205... the last question I remember was about prioritizing! I hope I passed.

Thank you again! I'll get my letter like in 3-4 weeks
