I took my NCLEX-RN on the 6th, finished with 75 questions, and felt pretty confident. I did the PVT and got the good pop-up. Check my results on my states BON website (Arkansas doesn't partcipate in Pearson's quick results, but offers their own) and it says I passed. Sounds good right?
Well, I've been working the past two weeks with a temp. permit. I was scheduled to work tomorrow for my fourth day of orientation. I got a call tonight from the charge nurse telling me I'd have to work as a tech tomorrow because I no longer have a temp. permit. She thought I must have failed my test, I explained that I had indeed passed. I'm pretty annoyed that the director of my floor did not call me directly to tell me this.
Anyway, I looked at my BON website and I have no license numer, just the null and void temp. permit. I know I'm being ridiculous, but now I feel uncertain that I did pass. My BON was closed today due to wintery weather, so they probably just haven't gotten my number up yet. It really puts me in a pickle because I can't continue my orientation. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Patient is the word you are looking for as everything happens for a good reason.

did you try the PVT again for a second time?
Yeah I've done the PVT trick a few times, and have gotten quick results from my state. I am more than happy to be patient, but now it is effecting my orientation. From what I can tell I have passed my NCLEX, but my job has no choice but to have me work as a tech. I would really like to know if anyone has had a similar experience.

Wow. This is disheartening I am certain. I would keep on the Board until you get resolution. Thank goodness your job has not let you go. Best wishes.
