Hi!
I've been a CNA for 8 years and am working toward my degree in nursing. I've read some of the negative posts and I can understand the frustrations. I've worked in mental health, on the medical floor, LTC, and home health care,. I must admit, there are times where I've wanted to get out and do something else, but my HEART is in nursing.
I am continually amazed and awestruck to see
what nurses do and how much they give of themselves. You really have to have a "servant's heart," because the majority of the reward is intrinsic. Observing nurses as a CNA and as a patient, I think you are all TERRIFIC and VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!
Thanks for listening!

Hug4mom - I'm sure the nurses and patients in all your various positions appreciated you too. Good luck in school and I'll bet you will become a wonderful nurse.

I bet you will be an excellent nurse, and congrats on continuing your education. It warms my heart to hear someone express such a positive attitude toward this profession. If I can be of assistant, feel free to email me. Please don't ever quit! Always remember, that someone is hurting, somewhere, and needs YOU! Best wishes, and I know you will reach your goals!
