I'm taking my nclex pn tomorrow at 8am and i am sooo nervous! I graduated 2 weeks ago. I've been studying for about 3 months and I did pretty well in school. My kaplan practice tests have been between 60-70%. I am terrible at SATA. I want to pass more than anything! Please give me advice to stay calm!
I took practise board exams before my state boards and usually scored in the 70 percentile. I had four years' experience as an EMT and seven as an LPN and thought, "What am I doing wrong? I know this stuff!" when it hit me: I gave the answers I thought were correct, not the answers they wanted. When I changed my tact, I began scoring in the 90 percentile!
State boards were two days when I tested for my RN. I went to the test sight the day before and just looked around. I got to know the place and felt comfortable there. I did deep breathing exercises regularly throughout the testing process. I meditated. I did relaxation exercises.
As EG spirit said, do not study before the test. I was advised not to study at least 24 hours before the tests.
Good luck to you, Esmith! Oh- and welcome to AN.com!
