I survived...Now I'm scared...

I survived my first semester of nursing school. I was worried in the beginning, I was even failing one class. But I ended up with 2 A's and 2 B's!! I was so happy. Now I have a long break and it's awesome...no studying, no reading, no stress. Actually, I say it's awesome, but half the time I don't know what to do with all this extra time because I'm used to studying every second.

I'm in an accelerated program and I start back in January and will be in school until next year's Christmas break. Kinda crazy! I have community health, health assessment, pharmacology, and psychiatric mental health nursing next semester. I'm worried. I know it gets harder the more you go along, and I just pray that I can continue to keep up and do my best. I know I can do it. I'm just worried about what to expect.

i know what you mean. i don't know what to do with myself either. i can't believe we have a break. i never thought it would get here fast enough. i am trying to enjoy myself and not do anything. that is so hard, though. i'm like you, i studied every day, it seemed like every second.

congrats on the 1st semester. i had fundamentals, pharmacology, and assessment last semester. pharm was hard, no joke. but i passed with a b. i was so happy. just a lot of reading in fundamentals and assessment. good luck next semester.

you can never be too skilled in how to study. that is the real secret to getting good grades. that and psyching the teacher's testing method out. review some of the information on how to study on the weblinks of post #15 of this thread, at your leisure, while you are on break
