If you spend that many hours a day, you are just going to wind up hating it.
Prevent becoming bored by giving yourself breaks. Study for fourty-five minutes, give yourself a break - eat, watch tv, excerise, or something. Then come back to it later.
I think people make the mistake of over-structuring studying.
Find a routine that works for you. I will study for eleven hours some days for micro etc. But I'll stop get food, stop do yoga, stop watch some House or Greys Anatomy. I never get less then an A. If you just go constantly you'll burn out. You don't retain it as well either in my experience.
I head to the library so I'm not distracted by my cats, boredom, the need to clean my house, or whatever it may be. If I can get a solid, non-distracted 3-4 hours of studying in at the library, then I can come home and goof off the rest of the day. You have to do what works for you, though.

I was thinking of doing this. Also, I like others advice too. When I want to go to the library, I will do this. If not, I will do what other suggested.
Thanks all! I have lots of B because i had a full-time job which I had no time to study. I really want straight A's so I am going to try this! I will let you know how it goes. What about when studying for a test? I shouldn't study on a test day? I've seen people studying 2 days before the test.

Like, every time I want to study, I cannot. I end up doing something else. I think I shouldn't worry about it because I am taking Biology, Algebra one, and English composition one which are easy.. but I am struggling a bit in Biology. I am aiming for A's so I have decided to spend 4-5 hours a day studying. How to study without my mind wandering off?
If it happened to you, how did you fix that?
All I know is that once I take A&P 1/2, chemistry 1/2, and microbiology.. I am going to spend 6-7 hours per day because I want straight A's. ^^
I want to show that a guy who isn't smart... who is shy and quiet can get good grades by studying a lot!
:)
I think my average in biology is a 86%.. That's OK if I get a B+.. A's and B's are considered good grades and that's what I want.
