I am going to be starting an LVN program Tuesday September 9th. I'll be going to class Tue Wed and Thur 2-930 pm then working fri sat sun and mon 10 hours days to make full time hours. I need your advice... I have a 15 month old son at home and am wondering what would work out better for all of us.. This agency pays 18 - 19 dollars an hour for cnas so i'd only have to work probably 3 days 8 hours and make the same amount i make now. But my job I have now is very laid back and I could probably study during work hours. Should I go work for the agency instead or stay with my laid back job that i could study at?

when i started LPN school I was faced with the same dilemma. I decided to stay with the layed back job so that I could use those hours to study. It worked for me, I've been a nurse for 5 months now, still trying to find my way.

Yea sweetie I suggest that you stay with the laid back job so that you can use that for study time the money may seem nice now but in the end the extra study time that you will get will be worth it trust me.I had the same problem I am a pharmacy technician and I currentlt work at a retail pharmacy and got offered hospital pharmacy positions paying me double of what I am making now but guess what right now my job is so laid back that I can study when we have no scripts to fill but at the hospital you can't do that they don't care about you going to school and that extra reading time has really paid off IT IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH READING BELIEVE ME!In the end you have to do what is right for your pockets girl but if you can stick it out and stay with the job that you have until you finish your program then that is the best way to go! Hope this helps good luck!
