Good day to everyone,
I am a single mom with two children wanting to transfer my B.S. in Chemistry into a BSN. I already have student loans and wish to not heap a whole lot on what I already have. I will have to work parttime while in school. Can I get suggestions as to accelerated programs in the Philadelphia area that may best meet my needs
Thanks so much for your comments!
Can anyone weigh in on the program at Thomas Edison?

Accelerated BSNs are just that, accelerated. That means they are continuous full-time classes for 12-18 months. I am not sure if a part-time accelerated program exists.

If you are in the Philadelphia, PA area, there are two programs in Philadelphia that are two year BSN programs for working people-LaSalle University and Holy Family University.
I attended LaSalle University and it was a program that fit me. I was able to work 30 hours a week, attend class in the evenings two nights a week and every other weekend was clinical. There were single moms in our program that were able to complete the program on time; the staff and faculty are very supportive and geared to being supportive of becoming a graduate nurse. Most of the pre-req's needed to be done first...however it would be looked over by the program coordinators. I had most of my pre-req's completed, and was able to take university required courses during the course of study without issue.
Research and contact the programs and find out which will be a good fit for you.
Best wishes.
