I was scolded on the first day of work

Hello. I just got a job at a hospital near my home. Working here is quite comfortable except that the patients here are quite difficult. This does not mean I did something wrong, they just released it. But I was sad too, fortunately some doctors there comforted me. But I'm still upset and do not know what to do. I suppose I would still suffer in the next few days. Thank you for listening to me.

Being a new nurse you will find all sorts of people who will scold you to hug you and everything in between. Good nurses grow thick skin. This does not mean to be acceptable of physical or verbal abuse, just do not take situations personally. All we can do is provide the best care and if that is not enough then maybe next time I can switch with another nurse. To me it does not matter who you are I will give you the same care I give a prison offender, a grandmother/grandfather or friend...I just try to give good nursing care.
