crying tears of joy as i write this i PASSED the nclex-pn!!!!!!!this has been a hard journey for me and i feel so relieved, a weight has been lifted off of me!
I want to let everyone out there know so that you to can achieve this goal, please never give up, stay positive and dont let what others say to you affect you. You have worked your butt off to get to this point, you went through school and you passed, that was step 1. now this is step 2 and dont let this stand in the way of your dreams, you have to fight for them!! dont ever give up!!!!
This was my second time taking the exam.. the first time i went all the way to question 205 and failed. The second time around i changed my study routine entirely. The second time around i used Kaplan test stragedy book, i read that first it is not very long about 100 pages and then there is a test in the back that i did. After i finished that i used Saunders Comprehensive edition 4. I know that some do not like Saunders, but the style questions on my test were exactly like the ones out of Saunders.Obviously not the same exact ones, but same exact set up. I personally think that for the PN test it is a good book but i have heard the version of Saunders for the RN it is not. Everyone has thier own study habits and likes different things! I used the CD ROM that came with Saunders more than ANYTHING. I would have to say i answered over half the questions in the book and about 1500 on the cd ROM. I also used the LaCharity book to do some Priority questions which i felt helped me a lot, i had many priority questions on my exam the first and second one. I would say i did well over 2000 questions before the exam.
This time i turned off at 177, i felt confident. I remember thinking right before my computer turned off, wow i feel like im doing so well, why hasnt it turned off? and then it did!
Wishing you all a Happy Holidays and the best of luck on your exams!!!!!!Remember you WILL be a nurse!!
