Hello to All Readers,
This is it! I am finally writing my review as a Registered Nurse. Yes, I was just like one of you guys, trying to calm my anxiety trying to find the best review tip, googling how to pass the nclex, PVT trick accuracy...
I successfully passed the NCLEX in 75 Q's the 3rd try. 1/7/2016
How I did it:
I took the 10 day Rachell Allen Review Course ( I'm not paid to refer or advertise such)- I'm a BSN graduate from the Philippines. I finished in 2013 which is almost 3 years out of school.
My Review Materials:
La Charity Delegation Book
Saunders NCLEX Review
Kaplan Strategies, Priorization
Some questions from 7 day free trial Uworld, free questions on Kaplan Qbank App and NCLEX Mastery.
My Exam History: First 2 Attempts I was working fulltime.
June 2015: 258 Questions- I got 1 above average, 2 below and The rest near passing
I re-applied and I got super hyped to take NCLEX again so I scheduled it the day after- Big Mistake. 2nd time I got 153 Questions- 2 below passing the rest near passing (Oct 2015)
I finally had to change my gameplan so I quit my fulltime job and decided to focus and enroll in a review course.
Conclusion:
I always thought I could challenge the NCLEX without studying thoroughly. my first attempt, I only read about 25% of NCSBN and I felt super excited to test.. I repeated the same mistake and still failed the second time. ( Shout out to you guys who tried this!)
I also thank God for His wisdom and guidance because without it this nursing and NCLEX battle would be in vain.
To my fellow nurses and USRN's to be:
If you've been out of school for more than 1-2 years have some self respect and make sure you re-Learn your content you will never pass having faulty foundations. If you do! My prayers go out to you lol.
For my fellow friends who can only focus studying for 2 hours max then fall asleep or end up on facebook, netflix or Youtube, there is nothing wrong, we are only human but I encourage you to enroll in a Review class.
Trivia: PVT tricked was accurate for me in all attempts meaning I got the declined credit card when I failed twice and lately I got the good pop up ( ... recently scheduled)
Last few words:
My NCLEX experience was truly full of life lessons. I realized that as I start my career I need to provide Safe and effective nursing care, this was never to be done by haphazard preparations.
Oh btw I also took my time this time! My previous attempts I was always in a hurry for some reason. I took my time and read each question digesting each choice if it was correct or not.
I realized that failing NCLEX made me a better person and finally passing it just proved I'm ready to be deployed in the battle field.
Whats your Story?:)

Congratulations and welcome to the world of nursing! I passed my NCLEX after 76 questions, in 2011 I walked out of that exam center in tears thinking I failed, it was torturous! I prepared by doing zillions of practice questions and reading the rationales. That's my story!
