I think with a health and homemaker service to begin with. I have orientation with them this week. It will give me some experience with hands-on. and a quick job.
I would like to get into an assisted living facility - or a rehab center. There are a few around my area (Palm Harbor, Oldsmar) - or, as everyone else, Morton Plant. If you have any advice...PLEASE tell! .....

Wow! So I passed the exam yesterday. I would like to thank the American Red Cross - they have an awesome class that totally prepared me. I was given Mouth Care - Brush Teeth, ROM-UE and Weight. And I still froze! One of the most nervewracking experiences ever. The examiner was decent. I have heard so many horror stories, and I am glad it's over and can move on! Looking forward to a new career! Yippeee! It has been 2 months since the class ended - the practicing 10 MILLION times before the test really helped. Going into private home care to begin with...at least it will give me experience -
and a JOB! Unemployed since 1 year ago...this is a new beginning. Any advice from anyone....will love to hear it!
I have a previous thread regarding home health care and got some wonderful words from a wise, experienced, Caliotter3...
