I studied the admissions assessment exam review by Elsevier for five months before taking the exam. I even made flash cards reviewed my A&P stuff and I did not pass all the sections. The school I want to attend requires a minimum score of 75 for each sections and out of all the sections I only passed half. Here are my scores.

I do not know how to prepare myself to retake this exam I need help because I know I'm probably not studying right or maybe I'm not studying the right material. I know some people only studied a week or even a month and passed but I studied five months and didn't pass. I really want to be a nurse but I can't even pass the entrance exam should I change my major. Any suggestions on how or what to study I will appreciate it.

Don't get discouraged you can always take the exam another time. If you have an iphone or ipad you can download an app called HESI A2 Exam Prep 2016 edition by Pocket Prep (just type HESI on the search and it will be the first one that pops up, it had a purple P on the icon)

That app helped me immensely when i was studying for the test. The first time i took the exam was on July 15 of this year. Got an 84 overall but i got a 56 on the Anatomy section. At this point i was studying using the study guide that my school had recommended. The problem was that there were not a whole lot of practice questions there. The app that i am telling you about had a TON of practice questions that are very similar to the ones on the exam. I took the test again yestersay and got an 91 overall and an 80 on my Anatomy.

BY the way the app is free but in order to download all the content it costs around 10 dollars but trust me its worth it.

Don't give up! You can do this. Everyone is different, some people pass it on the first try others I've heard take it multiple times. The review book by Elsevier is excellent. I found the math to be exactly identical. As far as the A&P the book was helpful as well as a handful of websites and applications. "Quizlet" has tons of flashcards from people who have taken the exam. There is this book by the name of "How the body works" WONDERFUL book full of pictures for any refreshers. There are tons of apps you can download on your smartphone "Hesi A2 Practice Test - 2016", "Hesi A2 - Pocket Prep", and "Cram" really helped me with the A&P section.

Practice exams also helped A LOT, the following websites had a bunch I studied over and over again.

Try to find a study group, others who are taking the HESI as well you guys can quiz each other. Note cards are fabulous I make them for every class but what helps me is when I tutor others, or get in study groups. Ask friends or family to take your note cards and quiz you. For vocabulary I highlighted the ones I did not recognize in the book then I wrote little notes in a definition I most understood.

Basically, what I'm saying is don't give up. This could be the beginning of your career! No one said it will be easy but you can do this. Try to find different ways to study, look up youtube videos, study study study. On the bright side, you took it once so you now know what to expect right? :)

Best of luck!!!!
