Hi everyone, I am a second year pre-nursing student at CSULB.
I am going to apply for the spring 2012 program, I haven't taken the TEAS test yet. But, I did a little calculation I need 89% on TEAS and 97% on the math portion to have a total of 9points out of 10 (it's the point system of how they calculate your overall). Anyways, can you guys give me some suggestions on how I can achieve this goal. I am pretty good at math, and my weak part is reading and vocabulary.
How can I study for TEAS, and what books are helpful?
I'm just really stressed, as most of you guys know CSULB has a very competitive nursing program.
Thank you so much for taking time and reply!:)

You can take it muliple times I believe, and they are the same test. My wife got into the program by scoring really high on the TEAS test, but she took it 3 or 4 times... I
what books or strategies did she use to help her study?

I bought a study manual (the one offered by ATI) and did a practice test online. I would recommend doing both.
I don't think she used any books. She just studied the actual questions after each time she took the test and ended up getting 96% on it.

The book by ATI and the practice exams they offer online (there are 2 of them) are phenomenal. It will give you a good idea of how the actual TEAS questions are worded, which is very valuable. Best of luck to you!

I got an 89% with a concussion. Don't stress too much. It's super easy.
89% overall is no problem, the math score being that high is the tricky part.
Also word of advice for Patho and Pharm. You should take it at a JC if you haven't already. JPAL is a little crazy.
yea, i heard she is a little crazy............... shes my anatomy teacher, :/
