what do I need to study when it comes to the NCLEX

Published

Im in the medical assistant program and will be going straight into the RN program after I complete this program but I'm nervous about the NCLEX test, I study really well but I freeze when it comes to testing so I want to figure out now what I need to study for to help keep my nerves down I really appreciate anything that will help me for this I keep looking online and at library's for the study book but they dont ever have one I even went to books a million and they didnt have one so please help!! :uhoh3:

A step at a time is much better than worrying about nclex right now.You will be able to get alot of what you need to prepare for it during school, review class(es),test taking strategies workshop,allnurses.com and from your future classmates that are going through the same process.I wish you goodluck!

thank you I know I should take it one step at a time but even back in high school for our state tests I would just barely pass them and I want to be ready for it and I get called an over achiever all the time because I always make sure I'm prepared for anything and everything. I guess its just nerves right now, I know that the test consists of math and stuff like that but I havent had biology or any sciences since the 8th grade so I just want to be able to prepare myself! Thank you again! :)

Okay;if that should be the case, then get the review book(s) they have on here by doing a search.saunders, exam cram, lacharity,Mosby among others are good.Try your local libraries(circulation desk),barnes and nobles and amazon.com have a lot of the books.Stick around alot long by reading posts and doing search of your related question(s) on here and you will be fine.I think you are just scare of the unknown but you will be fine.Goodluck and happy holiday!

thank you again and happy holidays to you too!! :)

Start by paying attention in nursing school, then buy an NCLEX review book. Many recommend the Saunders Comprehensive Review.
