I need interviewing tips for Scott and White.

Hello, I am having an interview next week for an internship program with Scott and White. I felt pretty good about the interview until yesterday. I am now so nervous because I don't know what to expect  I am even losing sleep over it. The job market has been tough and I want to be at my best for this interview. Is there anyone that has interviewed with S&W or even works there? Please tell me what the interviewing process is like, the type of questions asked, the number of people in the panel if more than one. Please this is not limited to only those that work at Scott and White. :)

suggestions will be highly appreciated

I interviewed with Scott and White, but it really depends on the unit you are interviewing for. Each manager is different and will ask different questions, but I'll tell you some of the questions they asked me.

1) Why did you go into nursing?

2) Why do you want (the unit you are interviewing for)?

3) Why Scott and White?

Hope this isn't too late!

Lol! Thanks a bunch for your input. It did come a little late though. I went for the interview already and I had fun with the interviewers. I have not heard back from them yet though but it was a good experience for me.

Hi,

MOS579,

I have applied in scott and white and I got call from them. They said that nurse manager will call you about further actions. I don't know that they will call me or not. please give me reply about your thoughts about thiss internship program in scott and white.

I have worked for S&W for a year and a half, I currently work as an LVN in one of their clinics but in im an RN bridging program and will be moving to the hospital next May to work in Med Surg. They offer alot of great programs for helping with continuing education, they have grants and scholarships that aren't that hard to get,in fact they paid for my tuition + books and I only have to work 24hrs a week and they pay me full salary plus benefits for signing a 1 yr contract after I graduate. I've heard their internships are great also. I do know that when I interviewed I didn't hear anything for about 2 weeks then I got a call from HR saying I got the job. Good luck to all. :D

I work at S&W and went through an internship. I did an internship on the tele/step down floor... it was the first year they started doing it, so it was very unorganized. It was a glorified preceptorship. But that was only my experience. The hospital is amazing though. I love teaching hospitals.
