Occupational Medicine
Please any thoughts on going into Occupational Medicine? I understand the whole idea of Press Ganey, and I am not against it. However, when you put in your best and it is still not good enough, it gets bothersome for me. So....I am seeking positions that I can still deliver quality care to patients without having to worry about scores. Even if I still have to deal with Press Ganey, Occupational Medicine will still be an alternative for me. So any suggestions and input will be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

heeelllllpppp!!!
When I was studying for the NCLEX, I had all sorts of NCLEX softwares loaded on my computer. Saunders, Mosby, 3500 NCLEX etc. It drove me crazy and I never made up to 75% on any exam. I eventually gave up on all of them but stuck with Exam Cram and Kaplan. Now read this advise carefully. Saunders is a piece of cake to what you'l get on NCLEX. Go get Kaplan 2010 NCLEX (It is a blue book, less than an inch thick) it is a life saver. I repeat Saunders is piece of cake to what you'l get on NCLEX.. go get Kaplan! Good luck. You are smart and you are a success. You can beat NCLEX.

Is it a medication error?
If there was no restriction on the order, and the pharmacy filled the generic name when no specific instruction was given, It is not a medication error. If both brands have the same generic name word for word and is the same name as what was ordered by the physician, it is not a medication error.

I need interviewing tips for Scott and White.
Lol! Thanks a bunch for your input. It did come a little late though. I went for the interview already and I had fun with the interviewers. I have not heard back from them yet though but it was a good experience for me.

Where can i sell my NCLEX study materials and nursing books?
I sold most of mine on amazon.com but you will need an account with them. Not hard to register plus you will need to list seperately. However craigslist will allow you send out a general ad. Just put a contact information where people will bug your phone/mail out to tell them what books you have for sale, so I suggest you take the patience to list it out if u don't want ur mail/phone buzzing away. Listing out what you have for sale will save you time and attract serious buyers from my experience.

I need interviewing tips for Scott and White.
Hello, I am having an interview next week for an internship program with Scott and White. I felt pretty good about the interview until yesterday. I am now so nervous because I don't know what to expect I am even losing sleep over it. The job market has been tough and I want to be at my best for this interview. Is there anyone that has interviewed with S&W or even works there? Please tell me what the interviewing process is like, the type of questions asked, the number of people in the panel if more than one. Please this is not limited to only those that work at Scott and White. :)

"Shutting the door" for infection control
First of all, I must tell you that your feelings are normal. Nobody leaves the NCLEX exam wth 100% confidence that they passed. I just did my NCLEX exam in June and I had the same feeling. Regarding your question, the doors should definately be kept closed for patients under airborne precautions such as TB and the rest of them. Now for droplet precautions such as meningitis, the door could be left open, as long as the patient is 3 feet away from the door. I hope this helps.
