I need to interview an RN, anybody interested?

Published

Hi everybody,

I am currently a Nursing Student, enrolled in an RN program. One of my assignments is to interview a practicing RN, to get an idea of their daily routine and responsibilities. I am fairly new to the area that I live in now and attend school, and don't know any current RN's. I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to help me with this assignment. There are approximately 10 questions, so it shouldn't take that long, and you don't need to go into that much detail. The whole thing can be done via email, or phone if that's your preference. If anyone would be willing to help a future nurse in this regard, it would be very appreciated. :heartbeat Thanks! Jing

What type of nurse are you looking for? What area of nursing?

Hi,

Thank you for replying!

It doesn't matter what type or what area, as long as you are a RN in PA, it will be fine. You don't even have to give me your real name if you want. I can also post the questions here and you can send me the answers via Email.

I will be asking questions like:

What is your everyday routine?

Where did you get your education as a RN, what kind of certificate or diplomats do you have (RN, BSN)? Do you have any additional professional certifications (if you are an ER nurse or OR nurse)?

How do you utilize the nursing process in practice? (Assessment, Diagnoses, Planning, Implementing, Evaluation)

How does health care financing impact your role and responsibilities. (The health reform impact on hiring? Short staffing at your institute?)

Please let me know if you are comfortable with these type of questions.

I know you must be busy with work and family, therefore many thanks in advance!

Jing

If you post enough on some of the threads, you can PM me and I can try to help.

I think you need 15 posts.

You mean reply on the threads or actually post new threads?

Sorry I don't know much about how this works.
