I need help!

Im from the Philppines and I can't quite decide which state to apply for in the NCLEX examnations. They say that a license for the Vermont Board of Nursing can be applicable for all states but i'm not qute sure about that. Help?

Where do you want to live? With retrogression and looking currently at years before moving to the US you have plenty of time to research the different states. The main exception would be California for initial licensure and suggest a search as much is already written on that. NCLEX is a national exam but licenses are state specific and you will still need to meet their requirements as a foreign trained nurse. Suggest you also check out the sticky called Primer to working in the USA as much information will be there. Also Have you passed local boards and some states have now started requesting this and expect more to follow especially with retrogression as you may want to consider gaining nurse experience whilst waiting

The NCLEX exam is valid in all states, but licenses do not transfer and cannot be used in other states.

And you are not applying for the exam, as there is no application for it; you will be applying for licensure and the application does not even mention the NCLEX exam in any of them, other to ask if you have written it before.
