What type of literature search have you done?

Have you gone to a library that has health care journals? The librarians there should be able to help you learn to do a search of the health care literature. Your school may also provide you with access to online data bases of articles, etc. to search. Does your school have a library that includes health care journals? If not, are there other schools in your area that might have such a library?

Also ... perhaps more important ...

You may have picked a topic about which there is no or little published research. There may no "great articles" for you to find. However, you could go to the various websites of the State Boards of Nursing to find the specific numbers for that state and for the various schools in that state. Do a general search for the Board of Nursing in your state to find that website.

Also, there is a website for the combined boards of nursing for all 50 U.S. states. I think it's call the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN). If you do a search for "NCSBN" you should find that site and get the actual numbers for the nation as a whole. You could then analyze that raw data.

You may want to search and incorporate data related to NCLEX pass rate in your state and compare nationwide. Someone just posted NJ's the other day. Also, incorporate HESI and other final tests given to students before they are allowed to graduate.

Utilize your librarian if you need help with online search...Just some thoughts. Good luck to you.
