Thanks and yeah im thinking about doing that.. So are you a nurse or nursing student if so do you like nursing
I'm a nursing student. When I first went to college, I kept debating between nursing and English (of all things). I loved school and could picture myself doing and loving everything. I went to college right after high school even though I was torn, chose English because nursing seemed intimidating, and ended up switching a few years later. I definitely wish I would have just worked while giving myself time to think through everything.
I became a CNA before selecting a nursing school to apply to. I wanted to see if taking care of people was something I would really want to do for my lifetime career. It helped me decide that I wanted to do nursing despite how hard it might be and despite the fact that the job would be stressful. Right now I am very happy with my decision.
Thanks a lot for responding back. I will give myself some time to figure out what i want to do i was thinking about volunteering to see which one would i like more than i was also thinking about being a cna to see if being a nurse is what i want to do and yes nursing intimidates me thats why im kinda scared to apply for the program but i will see what catches my intrest
two words: job shadow. or volunteer. or be a cna. if I was younger and could go back I would definitely be an OT or PT, but that's me. nursing can be a thankless job. had I known when I was younger and understood how much of a business healthcare is, I would have minored in human resources or public relations.
as far as OT goes if you're willing to relocate I would do it but if you have to stay where you're at for personal reasons it might be harder to find a job. just my personal opinion. good luck to you.
My mom is an np and i am an lpn looking fo change career. Because of my sisters (who is 20) laid back cheerful personality i told her ot and she is so happy she made that choice. Listen to your gut. I know so many nurses who tell me, " i shouldve been..." nursing is not the only profession with possibilities people forget that. And lol becoming a cna first might completely make you never do nursing.

Hello, when i first attended school last year i was sure i wanted to be a nurse, but i hear so many bad things about nursing that drives me away from it. What i do like about nursing its broad and it wont be so hard to find a job so many nurses say they hate their job and its a lit of stress im just scared when i get into nutsing i might have the same problem.... Now i was looking at occupational therapy also i love that you can work with the patient one on one and you actually help them be independent instead of doing everything i know its not much stress as being a occupational therapist but its not as broad as nursing ugh im confused im not sure what to do
