I will graduate in December 2009. I plan to move to Los Angeles in May 2010 (when my lease will be up). I have a dilemma...I will need to work from December to May to pay my bills and save money to relocate. Any suggestions on what I can do for money until I move? I prefer something in health care. I was considering working as a CNA for a couple of months. I'm concerned that no employer will want to hire me for such a short period of time. I have not worked the entire time that I have been in nursing school (except bartending).

You should be able to get a job as a graduate nurse at a hospital near where you live. At least then you will not forget your nursing skills before you move. Research where you have to take you boards and how to transfer your license.
Is working as a private duty nurse for a few months a realistic option?

You shouldn't have trouble finding work in a nursing home, especially if you are willing to work nights, weekends and holidays. Don't tell them that you are only planning to work until May. No employer wants to hire anyone they know is only going to be staying for 5 months.
