Hi everyone, my name is Evelyn and I live in Newport News Virginia. I would like to know if there are any people interested in taking the Hurst Review. I need to gather at least 15 to 20 in order for them to come to me or in Richmond Virginia. I just recently took my nclex PN for the second time, and I desperately want to pass the 3rd time. The Hurst Review people are not scheduled to come to Richmond Virginia until August of 2009, I would like to be licensed by then. So, everyone who is interested, please contact me, thanks Evelyn Pearson

Hi Evelyn:

I just wanted to let you know my experience with the Hurst Review. I am an RN I graduated in 2006 took boards 10/2006 after going through the Hurst Review and I failed. I was blessed by my school to recieve a certificate to attend Kaplan. I took my boards March 2007 and Passed Praise God!:yeah: Try asking your school Nurse retention specialist if you have one. I was told that kaplan sometimes give certificates/scholarships to the colleges for someone to attend these classes free of charge. There may only be one given at a time but it couldn't hurt to ask. I am not sure if you have used any other study programs in the past but I know for the RN-NCLEX Kaplan is excellent. They give you practice questions that have or are similar to what you will find on the NCLEX and they go through each question and tell you why your particular answer is wrong or right. I attended the class and had the online questions to review and take "practice tests." To me Hurst is more of a reinforcement if you didnt understand a particular area in school. You really need to master the questions and thinking critically to pass the NCLEX. I hope this helps and I pray you do well your next time around. Be Blessed!

Hi and how are you. I'm glad to hear that you passed, as we all know that is the main goal. I was wondering, is the Hurst and Kaplan Review only for RNs? Bcause I graduated as a LPN, and someone said they think that the Hurst and Kaplan Review is strickly for RNs. Please let me know, thanks.

Good morning I leave in hampton, va. You can count me in for the nclex review. How many people do you have?

Do you know how much the review class is and how long it last if they do come to NN va

Hi Again:

I tried to call at 9:15am and the office was closed. I am not familiar with the NCLEX-PN but I did see information for this on Kaplan's website. I would suggest that you go to the website www.kaplannursing.com and look on the right side of the page and click the prompt that will have an advisor call you or perhaps when you call the office will be open. The number is on the website. For Hurst I am not sure I would suggest the same in regards to going to the web page and see if it is available for LPNs. I saw for Kaplan that they have the books and online tutorial but you would need to find out (if interested) if there is a actual calls for the NCLEX-PN. God Bless ~P:)
