I need advice on my fall semester schedule.

I am worried I signed up for too much because I do have two children under three. Also I haven't been to school in so long I'm worried I'm going to be overwhelmed with my pre-reqs. I am more than likely going to drop one class but I need advice on which on to drop. I am taking english 1 and biology w/ lab on campus. I'm not worried about those. I signed up for public speaking, human growth and development, and intro to sociology online. Which one of the online classes do you think would be the most difficult/time consuming?

Specializes in Psychiatry.

I was just about to ask about that.

Recording a speech is still different than getting up in font of people sounding like you may know what you're talking about. You can talk about techniques to relieve public speaking anxiety, but you never really get a chance to practice them.

Yeah, the experience was definitely different. In hindsight, actual public speaking would have been a bit more fulfilling.

At my school, Sociology wasn't difficult but it was extremely time consuming. I like the idea of getting course schedules and dropping one or two based on the amount of work required. Good luck!

In my experience, I wouldn't want to take Public Speaking with Composition. Both classes are very time consuming and require a lot of writing, outlining and re-creating drafts. Even if you are a good writer, having those classes together would be extremely time consuming... especially with the other classes you're taking. Besides that, your science classes will most likely need to be completed prior to applying to NS, while things like Public Speaking are most likely able to be completed after application. (Thats how it was for my program anyways)

Good luck!
