I'm sure most of you that have been here for a while know from my past posts that I haven't been able to work for over 3 years. My license was suspended because the IRS said I had not filed taxes in 2000 and I have spent these 3 years trying to prove that I had, and ended up having to file again. In my state, Missouri, there is a House Bill that says anyone with a professional license can have it suspended for not filing in the past. Anyway, to make an extremely long and infuriating :angryfirestory short, I will be returning to work shortly and I would like a fresh start but I don't know where to begin. I have been working LTC and med/surg for my entire 11 year career. But I also returned to school to finish my RN and BSN. I would like to do something else now, instead of floor work. I like the paperwork aspect alot. So my question is, does anyone know where I should begin to look for work like this?

The best job I had was as a case manager with hospice. It was a nice mix of hands-on care, pt. teaching, and paperwork. Much of the paperwork could be done at home and I always appreciated that. The office was on the other side of the city, so I often did work at home. Loved it!!!!!

Consider Quality Assurance. Lots of paperwork and you can make a difference in patient care.
