I left bedside nursing 4 years ago

Published

After 5 years as a bedside nurse, I pursued medical school and now in residency to become a diagnostic radiologist.

In nursing school and as a nurse, I used allnurses site all the time to help me navigate my way through nursing. I loved being a nurse but wanted to pursue higher education and just went all in with medicine because I loved the pathophysiology behind helping all the patients I worked with as a nurse.

Just wanted to swing by and show my gratitude to nurses, especially as an MD now, nurses are truly the best ❤️

Congratulations, Lily, on your career pursuit and goals attained!  I worked as a Radiology Nurse for 20 years at a County medical center, and learned so much!  It seems each specialty is a world unto themselves, and learning the ins and outs of that specialty can take a lifetime!  You sound like you will bring lots of well-rounded wisdom and experience to your new field.  Yes, I agree, nurses "are truly the best."  🙂  Best to you!!

Congratulations to you on your achievements!

I know your field is better for having you in it.
