There is a closed topic on the same title. But all I wanted to do is LPN. Why do people knock them? Or say it taken the easy way out I have not started the course yet but from what I gather its far from easy. I am not looking to be a boss or supervisor RN is fine for the ones who want to do it. And if they decide that is it then that should be it. What happen to respect no matter what you are RN LPN or CNA nobody should be looked down on.

All that matters is, that you have self respect for yourself and know your worth. You're always going to have people in this field who think they're better than you based on there title. Don't let that bother you. Be proud of your accomplishments no matter how small they may be. Nursing school is not easy, it doesn't matter what level you on.

Some people achieve a temporary ego boost when they insult others, which is why they knock down on the LPN role. However, no one can knock you unless you allow people to rent too much of your head space.

I worked as an LPN for four years, but became an RN once I realized that the RN is usually paid more money to do almost the same thing as the LPN. Most RNs are not 'bosses' or supervisors; rather, they work in direct bedside care. Nonetheless, I salute all the LPNs who have perfected their craft and do good work.
