Okay, so I am freaking out a little...I am getting very nervous about getting into the nursing program I have applied for. I am reading all of these stories about how people with 4.0's don't get in, etc. etc. etc... All of this worrying is keeping me up at night...and I know I shouldn't worry because what is meant to be will always find a way but still....that is easier to say than abide by..
can anybody calm my nerves???

I wish I could help. I am in the same boat that you are. We never know for sure if we will get in until we get the letter from the school saying that we have been accepted. I have a 4.0 gpa, and I scored a 95.33% overall on my Hesi, and I am still concerned. I try not to think about it though.
Your best bet is to just do everything within your ability to better your chances. After you have done all that you can just try not to stress out while you wait. I know that it is easier said than done, but that is all that we can do. I have to wait until April to find out if I get in for next fall. I need to focus on the spring semester.
I know that this probably doesn't help you one bit. Sorry that I couldn't be of more help to you. I would just say focus on the up coming semester. That may help! : )

I'm still waiting for a decision on my application as well, but judging from other classes that I've taken (where nursing students made up the majority), don't sweat too much. While most schools do consider GPA first, I think it's safe to say that as long as you have a high GPA where it counts (namely math and the requisite sciences), you should be fine. It seems as though nursing school involves a lot of "hurry up and wait!" :angthts:
