Discussion

I had my interview with the school today.

I spent about an hour talking with the Director of Nursing for the LPN to RN program that I want to attend. It was the final step in the admissions process until I graduate from LPN school and pass the NClex PN. I was fairly nervous about it but at the end, the Director was saying that at this time there are still spaces in the program. She didn't promise me anything, but she did seem fairly positive, I think. I hope, I hope, I HOPE I get in for Aug. '06! :) Also, even though I had A&P over 10 years ago ( I went to college and took the prereq's for nursing 16 years ago), she said that she would try to make it so that I can do the NLN for A&P and I wouldn't have to do that class again. Yay! I think I can do that. :) I still have to do Micro over again, though. We just didn't cover enough of it in LPN school and my class from college is too old. Darn. The registrar also said that the school would take my general psych and human growth and development from all those years ago. I tried to wiggle Nutrition out of her, too but she said it's just changed too much since I took it. I had to try. :) Anyways, think positive thoughts and send prayers my way. I really feel that this is the right time to pursue this! :)

I'm praying for you right now.

I really hope you're admitted into the RN program in '06 and that all goes quite well with your educational pursuits in the near future. :)
