Start by visiting Delphi Forum- Travel nurses and therapists forum. There is a ton of information on there. Also visit Pantravelers.com website. I think there might be a fee to sign up, but check it out. Make sure you have at least 6 months savings because many travelers get where they are going and then their contract is canceled and some don't have the money to get back home.
I recommend that you start working with a local agency and do some local perdiem jobs before going far from home. You need to be comfy going into a new ER and starting to work with a 4 hour orientation.
I have done a few contracts and some are great. Some are horrible. But I'm glad I did it and got a lot of valuable information. Be aware that you may be given the worst assignments and in some places staff won't help you because you are the odd man out.

Im looking to travel for a little bit. I live in texas right now and have 3-5 years ER experience as an RN. How do I do it? What companies are good? I don't really know where to begin. Can anyone give me some advice on how to start? Thank you!!!!
