I have heard of facilities 'growing their own nurses... As I am only just finishing up with my CNA and have every intention of moving forward to my RN I am, naturally, interested in the idea of a hospital/facility that signs you on for a number of years and pays you (college tuition) to 'grow' while working for them. I live in VA, relatively close to Richmond but am willing to travel to a different region in VA-for now- for such medical training. Can anyone help me out and give me a clue as to where to look or who to contact? Websites? Numbers? Emails? Let me know!

You will probably get more responses if you post on the VA forum. Go to the "Region" tab, click on "United States" and then go down to "Virginia".

Are you talking about hospital diploma programs?

If so, try googling for VA nursing diploma programs.

Some hospitals are either paying for nursing school for their employeers or even have a nursing program at their facility (not a diploma program).

I even know of some hosptials that do both, they have thier own ADN program that they host via the local community college and pay thier techs to go (in return, you give your time commitment.)

I attended Baptist Memorial College of Health Sciences and they are affliated with Baptist Memorial Hospital Corporation and it is a BSN program. So am getting the same thing as I would if I went to a public university
