They keep sending e-mails regarding how difficult the nclex is. It's adding more pressure on me everytime I get these E-mails from my fellow classmates.

Hello friends

i had my exam on 3rd July, it was a tuf one. Question were form really simple topics but the options were from some vital information that we usually skip during review. I urge all of you who are going for exam. in near future, study all the patient teaching, precautions, nursing considerartion, condition eveluation, statement evaluation, sign and symptoms, Disease process and stages and the changes in patient condition during those stages, certain conditions for certain diseases, how to categrized medications such as if a medicen name ends with "prli" from what gruop is it? and wat are admin. considerations, wat are the side effects, advers effects, nursing consideration, lab studies, pt. teachings you need to knaow all of above but not how a perticular medication work. Group all the medications , understand disease but dont waste your energy on remembering its etiology try to concentrate on s/s

the exam. could me filled with easy questions but options are the real problems.

One more time BURN YOUR MEORY TILL THE LAST MEMORY CELL IF YOU WANT TO PASS THE NCLEX

Hi everyone,

Today i take my test. I got 85 questions and i finish it in 1 hour and 45 minutes, which was really hard. Alot of priorities, 2 calculation(easy), alots of drugs side effect(atropine sulfate, penicillin.....and more) and adverse effect ( check all apply), alternate questions, orderly question ( ask how to use a crutch clim up the stair step by step, how to admisitering the drug and they both have 8 step for me to rearrange it into an order1-8), s/s of disease Emphysema, pancreatitis, ESRD, ( really hard because all check all apply), infection control with Pnuemonia, HIV, chemotherapy pt, pt teaching, and worst of all is maple syrup syndrome for a 2 days old infant.

I feel really bad after taking the test, because most of my questions are really hard only some questions are easy.

Hope this would help you guys that take the test later. Keep up study hard and read all the every detail, because this test is come out of the blue and not only need common sense they are so tricky and expect too much from us.

good luck guys

hope we all keep each other update.

One more e-mail, I swear Ima have a panic-atteck. :argue:

It sounds to me like they are just trying to be helpful. I didn't worry about the NCLEX. I had spent the past 2 years gearing up for it and since there are millions of nurses out there already it can be done. You can do this! I truly believe having confidence is a huge part of conquering this beast. Good luck.

P.S. BTW your classmate is correct, the Hogan series are incredible books

I know there trying to help but this is so intimidating. :(

Really? Is there a review by hogan online? Does it only have pharmacology or other subjects too?

The Hogan Series are textbooks and while I loved them I'm not sure now would be the time to deviate from your NCLEX study guide unless there is a specific area that you are weak in. Don't let this intimidate you!

I'm weak in drug calculations and meds.
