I feel like I did not do anything right today at the clinical. I thought there is no stupid question, she acted like I was been stupid by asking those questions. Seems like a power struggle to me, but I was only there to learn, not to take over!!! I hate clinical !

It is so true that "some" nurses eat their young. Sounds to me that the person who precepted you did not appreciate their role as a teacher or was just having a bad day. Either way, you are not there to make friends with the staff nurses, but are there to gain experience in your chosen profession. Do your best to stay positive and focus on safe and compassionate patient care. We all have to start somewhere. Don't give up! Always ask someone if you are unsure of something, even if you have to ask a few different people. Trust me, there are plenty of great nurses who understand your position and will be delighted to share their expertise.

So sorry about your day, some nurses love students and well some not so much... Don't let it bother you. You are there to learn and if you feel a nurse is downright mean and not a good fit for you talk to your instructor.
