I graduated nursing school almost two years ago and never took my NCLEX. I recently attempted to file paperwork and submit an application for liscensure in the state of AZ and was informed that the paperwork wouldnt go through in time and wouldnt have the green light to test with Pearson Vue. Since I have waited the two years to test I will be required to take a refresher course to get liscensed in AZ (other states dont require a refresher course just a liscense); which I dont mind doing. But in order to get into these refresherr courses I need to take and pass the NCLEX first. My question is since its been so long since I graduated what is a recommendation (other than studying with myself) to prepare and re learn to prepare for the NCLEX? Is anyone familiar or aware of programs/classes offered for out of commission students like myself? I need more than a review for the NCLEX. Arizona is preferrred but I am willing to travel to other states to accomplish taking and passing my boards.

Any way you look at it, you are going to have to study to prepare to pass the NCLEX. Get motivated and do it. That is about the best advice anyone can give you.

I graduated last May and am taking the Nclex at the end of this month! It's a long story of why I had to wait so long, but I have just been studying on my own. Most of my scores have been in the sixty to seventy percentages. I just really don't want to spend all that money on Kaplan, and since it's been a yr I wouldn't get the guarentee? Good luck well get it!!

you can take the nclex for any state right where you are....kwim? so if another state will let you take the nclex just apply for licensure there and go to your local pearson vue test to take the nclex. (you don't have to travel to the actual state) good luck
