I got a D on my A&P mid-term!

Published

I got an effing 67 on my anatomy & physiology I lecture mid-term. I studied so freaking hard! I worked with my study group (they both made B's), made flashcards, read and re-read my lecture notes, and re-listened to the lectures that I had recorded. I just don't get it.

I have a 75 average in there now. My school is only accepting 40 students into their nursing program, and a C is not going to put me at the top of their list. I am so damn disappointed! I emailed my professor and asked if I can video record his lectures from now on, thinking maybe if I can see them, I might have a better chance of understanding them.

This sucks so bad!

You should analyze the exam and figure out why your performance wasn't where it needs to be. What kind of questions did you miss? How do you learn best? How can you ensure that you achieve on the next exam? What was wrong with your performance - did you not study enough? Did you study the wrong information? ... etc.

What chapter's were your exam based on? From now on don't over do it. What I mean is, don't spend to much of your time with study groups, on the flash cards and the recording. You should take copius short-hand notes; and what you don't understand go to YOUTUBE and then refer back to your book and/or notes. This site has been the best site for reference. I will give you a site that has study notes and questions that you can print out and also use this as a reference/tool. I understand how disappointed you may be because this class is not the easies, but very time consuming.
