I didn't get in...

Published

So I applied for the only CNA course that wasn't full, and I had an interview with them this past Monday...Well I got a letter in the mail today saying they did not choose me for the class..No reason, just we decided on other applicants to fill the class.I'm so upset, and sad..I just want to cry.lol :scrying:

I really thought I was going to get in.I'm so bummed.

I live in MT at the moment..I have called everywhere..This was the only place that wasn't full. The local adult school has one for Oct-Nov with night classes that would be perfect for me,but they are full.I look at their website everyday to see if someone dropped the class.lol.

Where in the country do you live? When I wanted to take my course I did web searches to find all the listings for places that offered the course. At least half of the listings the places no longer offered them. However, a couple of them held monthly courses. Mine is only a 15 day course, 8 hours a day.

Our adult school charges about $400 maybe a bit more including the test fee.I don't mind paying it,but it's full.

:(

I took my CNA course at the local adult school and paid about $48 as I recall and about $40 of that was for the book.

Is there a wait list? Find out and get on it. And if the next class is full, get on that wait list too. People drop out, it's a fact. If you're determined you will find something. There may be nursing homes in your area that provide training you may not know about. Check with your board of nursing. I tend to say that a lot but it's true -- every state-recognized program is registered with the respective state board of nursing. Some states have special divisions for CNA training (like Texas) but in any case, you should be able to obtain a list of all accredited training programs in your area through the governing agency.

I was just looking up the info for the accelerated CNA training in Miles City and then I saw that we've had this conversation before. I apologize for being repetitive.

lol That's right..Ugh I'm sorry I didn't remember. Thanks so much for all the advise.I am going to keep on looking! This is just a small bump in the road for me.
