Hey All;
I take NCLEX-RN on Friday (July 25th). I took the week off and I've been doing 200+ questions per day. Added to the daily questions I've done since graduating about (30-100 depending on busyiness, etc.)
But, my scores are still low... like 65-75%. Which is starting to really scare me.
(I've been working in Saunders & Kaplan mostly.)
Several of my classmates have already passed, some with very minimal studying to not at all. So I think I've had a good education...but I'm just getting worried that I'm just not ready. I keep praying and praying, and just trying to remember how much God really helped me through school and that he wouldn't have brought me this far just to drop me now.
I guess what I would really really appreciate is any advice or feedback on these scores and what might help.

:typing pinkfuzz,
hang in there girl........you are doing exactly what you are suppose to do!
you are studying and you are answering questions like the way you are suppose to do!
i suggest that you just focus on 1 study system.
if your taking kaplan.......focus on that only. sometimes going from one book to another it can be confusing.
do the kaplan qbank and make sure you study the rationales on the questions you got wrong. go back to your kaplan book and read that topic over of the question you got wrong and write that rationale down on the side of the topic. read the topic 2-3 times.
also, when doing the qbank questions, what i did was i would do the tutor mode and do the ones that were incorrect.
it seems you are giving this 100% and prepping right.
i took the nclex rn today and all i can say is you have to understand the process of the diseases.
the boards to me tested a overall majority of everything.
just remember there is no way you will know everything in the book.
just keep practicing questions over and over and understanding the one's you got wrong.
also what i did that helped me was making flash cards.
your scores 65-75% is that the over kaplan?
how did you do on the last 3 trainers?
i can tell you is that kaplan questions are very similar question asking in the nclex.
lots of luck my dear! i truely wish you all the best!
but the main thing to this prepping is you have to stay confident and really, really have faith in yourself.
if you have these qualities in you...........yes you can do it!!!
it's all about the attitude!
god bless!

I completely agree with nursegreeneyes. There is no way you're ever going to know absolutely everything about nursing! It's impossible! I too asked one of my friends who already passed the nclex if I should feel comfortable when walking into that exam and she told me "you just go in there and hope for the best." When she told me this I remember thinking "yeah, you're crazy I've never gone into a test in that state of mind and I'm not going to start with the nclex." But seriously, if you have done all of kaplan's questions and are scoring in the 65-75% range, it sounds like you're doing great. You do need to feel confident, but to be honest I didn't go into that test thinking "I'm going to pass this test, I'll be in and out of here in a hour." Rather I thought, "I did everything I can do to prepare myself for this exam and frankly I'm sick of studying, so I'm going to give it my best shot and hope for the best."
My nclex wasn't on super hard, and it didn't go into the nity grity stuff, for the most part it was basic nursing knowledge. The questions were a little easier than kaplan questions. Besides a few med questions, I can't think of one question where I was like "what the hell is this!?" You need to read each question and figure out what the question is really asking!
It sounds like you're doing great so keep it up and GOOD LUCK! I know it's so stressful but you'll get through it!

Hang in there, stay positive, and just stay focused! i know its easier said than done, but you can do it!!! Just stay focused...and if u start freakin' during the exam, close your eyes and tell yourself to breathe, just breathe! Then you will get refocused.
