I failed Pathophysiology!

...p.s. My instructor in patho, was very kind and encouraging too. the class average on the last test was like 74(failing) and the class average on the cumulative final was 76. No one out of 40+ students got an A, and 15 of us failed. Only myself and one other was really close with in a point. UUGGGHHH!!

No one got an "A" in your class? The last test average was a 74 and 15 people failed? Sounds like the teacher needs to re-evaluate the material and the tests.

I know plenty of people who've failed classes and finished their nursing program. Just keep at it and you'll do fine.

In my book you may have fallen below the standards for the course but you are far from failure. You already have the spring semester planned out not to mention your mommy duties. You're a real trooper--- hang in there and best of luck to you

There were many students in my BSN program who failed one class but then repeated it and ended up graduating. Best of luck to you! :)

i can attest to you. i failed patho and in my class, the teacher told us straight up, it was a huge class of 80 that only half will pass. and that was true, only half past if more. the information was immense, powerpoints out the wazooo, the test were on nearly 150 pages of powerpoints, 6 powerpoint slides a page, and like 5-8 lines a slide. crazy information and he would ask a specific question on any specific note. It was tough and i missed by 2-3 points. I did take it over the next semester, a smaller class of like 15 or so and it was a newer teacher, she had different powerpoints, same as the other teacher with like 150 pages or so and what not. She gave pop quizzes like the other teacher on any random day, i mean like when the test was the next day she'd give a popquiz and u'd be like, oh fudge! she'll walk in one day and be like, ok papers away, pop quiz and u got like 2 pop quizzes a test, 4 tests, and then u drop ur 2 lowest quizzes and average ur highest ones to count as a test. In the end, i squeeked it out and made it the second time around. Now im in my third yr and doing fine so far, passing and all. Patho is the make it or break it course in our school and lots dont make it, so when udo, feel a huge sigh of relief off ur back and ull be fine.

Thanks so much for all the encouragement!!! It will be the same teacher and she said that it will be different this time. With all those powerpoint pages and pop quizzes, sounds like my class. I have now signed up to retake that, pharmacology and nursing research. I cannot continue in clinicals til I pass. Im not too worried this time. After all, I do know 76% of the info now!!
