I'm very sorry your exam results didn't go as planned.

Have you talked to your professor? If not, you should. Have your specific questions ready, and go in with an attitude of seeking help and wanting to learn.

Appealing exam results can sometimes yield positive outcomes, especially if you were close to passing, as you mentioned, but there's no guarantee. It depends on various factors such as school policy, how your exam was marked initially, the specific criteria, and the potential for any errors in grading.

Before appealing, thoroughly understand the appeal process and any associated deadlines. If applicable, Gather evidence or documentation supporting your case, such as previous assignments or exams. Additionally, consider seeking guidance or advice from your academic advisor or instructor—they can often provide valuable insight and support throughout the appeal process.

Ultimately, while passing the module after remarking is possible, it's important to also have a backup plan in case the outcome doesn't change. Whether that involves retaking the module or exploring alternative options, remember that setbacks are a part of academic journeys, and how we respond and adapt truly matters.

Best wishes,

Nurse Beth
