Is it the only class you're taking? If you must retake it over the summer, then you need to be on top of your stuff. Staying ahead of the game and prioritizing will be your best friends. Reviewing chapters before they're presented in class is highly recommended. Use a recorder during lecture if your professor allows it. Review your notes and the chapter after lectures. Utilize study groups and office hours with your professor the moment you're confused or don't understand something. It's a lot of information at once. Falling behind in a summer class is pretty much automatic doom as there's hardly any time for playing catch up. I used Khan academy when I wasn't understanding certain topics as well. Ah, you'll be doing yourself a big favor if you're understanding concepts rather than cramming and trying to memorize details. :)

Thank you so much! I will be ahead of everyone during the summer class. I've done great but when it comes to exams, I freeze up. Summer is my only choice to retake the class! Any advice?

My advice when it comes to test taking is to tune everything out. Tune the other students out. If they get up and turn their tests in, pay no attention. Pretend you are the only one in the room. What I do is go question by question. Don't look down the page and stress yourself out. Take it one question at a time. If you get stuck, cross out the answers you know are wrong and go back to the question when you're done with the rest. Take a deep breath before you start. The more oxygen you have the better you'll think (just don't hyperventilate). Good luck with your tests.

Trust me when I say I did try my best and now I'm retaking it for the summer and need a good healthy study plan. My college offers a grade forgiveness program where if I take biology again, they'll drop my F and my gpa won't be harmed. Any advice on how to pass and do good on the test?
