I am content to be an LPN...is that wrong?

I have been struggling with this for a while now. Everyone tells me I need to bridge, but I am perfectly happy to be an LPN. I work in home health and I love it. I make a good salary, have good benefits, and love what I do. I have been a nurse for 5 years and I just can't see myself going back to school and working full-time. I love my life the way it is. But I feel guilty and like people look down on me because I'm not going to bridge to be an RN. Your thoughts?

As I always say "If it's not broke- Dont fix it" Glad you are happy :) I'm starting an LPN program in the fall.

If you are happy then there is absolutley nothing wrong with it. When people question you about it just tell them you have complete job satisfaction, and not many people can say that they do. Besides it's not anyone else business but yours.

If you enjoy what you do and you take pride of your work of course there is nothing wrong about that :yeah:I definitely understand the pressure to bridge to RN. If I find a job as an LPN that I'm happy with and the pay is good I definitely don't plan on going back to school.
