There is this one girl in my class that has a friend or family member who has had every single disease that we talk about. Its really annoying that we have to stop class to talk about how someone she knew had this or that. It disrupts my learning and its really annoying. You are the reason we get out of class late and have to finish the powerpoint slides on our own time. Please stop!
Does this annoy anyone else?
Don't blame the talkers, blame the instructor. A good instructor should immediately retake control and continue on with their lecture. They should also talk to the student outside of class and ask them to refrain from interrupting.
If it's really bugging you, you should speak to the instructor and ask them to intervene... you can always do so by means of an anonymous e-mail if you're too shy or embarrassed to speak to the instructor directly.
I have 2 girls like that in my class. My teacher can't finish his sentence before they share their experience or opinion about it. Sharing every now and then is fine, but when you go on for 10 mins that's enough. One of them isn't the smartest either. Last week we were talking about the different kinds of cells in the body and our teacher brought up the alphabet, I can't remember what he was referring to, but she screams out "There are 23 letters in the alphabet!!" I almost died. So she started singing her ABC's to the class. My teacher changed the analogy to the states and she claimed there were 52 states in the U.S.....ugh It's never ending!

Hah. Sometimes those people can help add some insight, but I find usually the too-talkative types are saying things that aren't relevant or helpful because they weren't paying attention/ can't keep up. I do like hearing from people occasionally, but not if it means extra work or longer class!!
