The problem is.
gr xii =---------- mg
My formula is gr i = 60mg or gr xv = 1000 mg
So this is what I did I first converted grains to mg by 60 x 12= 720 and thats my answer. But all problems dont workout that easy.........mainly when its a fraction problem............does anyone have an easy way to do grains problems????

this is why using dimensional analysis can be so helpful. change the roman numeral to an arabic number. put the label ("grains") with the number in the numerator and work the math on the fraction. use rules of canceling out along with your conversion factors to get rid of the unwanted labels.
