I am a pre-nursing student. I am going to take the a&p 2 mimimester class (I like fast paced classes better anyway), in a month, but I am already studying the material. I passed A&P1 with A and loved it. I also loved the statistics class, but I hate Humanities classes with a passion (although I passed with As). I am also studying fot the net, regents and taking cpr/first aid class (3 hours a week for 3 months). I am about to apply to my current school's nursing department tomorrow. I know I should apply to other schools too, but which ones? How do I find out if they are really nice or not? I know it will be really hard, and I am going to have to go to school every day from 6-8 am till 4-5 pm. But by reading the posts it seems there are schools that do not require as much. How do I find out without actually going there and asking individual students?
I am willing to move out of state.

What do you mean? Do you mean how do you find more nursing schools in your area?
I would just apply to your current school's program, since you like it. Unless you think there is a good chance you won't get in.
Actually I am not so sure that I like my current school's program anymore. I have talked to several people about it and read very negative comments about this particular program. Most of the people I heard said that the courses and tests are unnecessarily complicated and only 1 out of 5 people who start, actually graduate. I was initially attracted to it because of its high rate of success in passing the RN exam, once you graduate, but now I am wondering about it. I read on this site about a 3.8 honor student who dropped out and really messed up her GPA. That is why I am looking at other colleges too. I would like to make sure I choose the college that will give me the greatest probability of completing the course once I get in. I am willing to work hard and I have my husband's support so that I do not have to worry about finances, babysitting etc..But it does not make sense to choose a program that will make my college experience unnecessarily more difficult that it is already going to be. I did love the couses I have taken so far. The classes are usually small (about 15-20 students) and the teachers are willing to go the extra mile if I want more information about a particular subject.

You can check out discovernursing.com to find accredited programs in your area, or other areas your willing to look at. From there I would check out individual websites of the schools to see what their curriculiums will be. Most course catalogs will give required courses times schedule etc. Another thing you could do is check out on here the individual state forums and ask about school in that area.
FWIW I attend a CC and my schedule is only going to be 3 days a week this semester tue,wed thurs with Tues all day clinical 6:30am-7pm and wed thursd 8am-2pm in class.
good luck
