i have been in home health for a few years now in california. i am wondering is it absolutely necessary to have a BSN degree do do home health, hospice in california. i been through so much school and its just such a long way to do the rn to bsn program including english and history classes. its too much. plus i have a bachelors in something else. plus its hard to work and go to school at the same time. i heard someone at UTA is on probation. and drexel is just beating around the bush about the price. is it absolutely necessary to have a BSN if i dont plan to go to the hospital and just stay in home health, hospice? i mean the pay is not even that big of a difference. 5K more. its soo much more work to work and go to school. can i just go on forever the next 35 years with a ADN?

Sure you can go on forever without more formal education, but who is to say that you might not encounter an opportunity requiring the next degree? Don't automatically limit your future by closing the door on higher education.

U assuming that the variable will remain constant, it won't, that's why it is a variable. Let's do the maths, if u was to take 1 class per semester for 35 years wouldn't you not be having the BSN. I strongly suggest u get, coz u surely won't regret it.
