Hunter generic nursing 2021

Published

How did current Hunter nursing students and current pre-nursing students study for the NLN PAX exam? I plan on taking the test next month. I really suck at vocab, so I'm afraid that I won't do well on the verbal section. I feel confident in the math section and okay in the science section. What are your studying tips and resources that you used or are currently using?

How are yall doing in chem 120 ? I'm not sure if I'll get a B in this class...

Hi, does anyone know how to transfer Spring grades for the generic program? Should we send them to nursingcas?

@Tanu I emailed the pre-nursing advisor about sending an updated transcript a week ago and she said: "You don't have to submit additional transcripts to the school. We will download the transcript internally from CUNYfirst". But, I will still update it on NursingCas just in case.

Thank you!

Also, did we have to send them the new official transcript too?

@Tanu I am actually not sure, but I think that it should be the same process as when you did it from last time.

I assume, yes, that it should also be an updated transcript with the new grades from Spring.

Hello guys. I am a current nursing student at hunter college. Just wanted to congratulate you guys on your success so far through a tough semester. I guess chem 120 was a killer for most of you, LOL. But anyways, you should all be hearing about your decisions soon (around early or mid June I would say). As of right now, most of you should have already enrolled in an anatomy &  physiology course (lecture + lab) just Incase you do get accepted, so you won’t struggle to find a class later on. But anyways, if you have any questions, you can ask me.

@Jose Z Thank you so much! Chem 120 was the most stressful class. But, just out of curiosity, are you an upcoming junior or senior? Also, what were your stats when you got in the program?

@achc I am an upcoming junior. As for your other question, I got in with around a 150+ (don’t remember what score exactly) pax score and a 4.0 GPA. Most people with a 3.5 GPA or above gets in (I’m aware that the website says 3.2 or higher, however the lowest GPA I’ve seen someone get in with is a 3.5). Even if your grade and pax is low, I think they also read the nursing statements, but they only read it when there is a stand off between two students with a similar GPA and PAX score.

I just got the acceptance letter!!!!!!!!

I am freaking out!!!! I am soooooo HAPPY!

Me too. I am SO EXCITED!
