This is random but ...does anyone know how the stony brook program compares to Hunter? I know they are both financially doable but mostly wondering if one is more well respected than the other and whether one helps more with clinical placement

I know a number of people who graduated from Stony Brook NP programs, but mostly PNP and FNP. I do know one person who graduated from PMHNP (haven't seen her IRL in years) but was waiting to reach out to her (because I will apply there if I don't get into Hunter). She has what appears to be a thriving practice from what I see on social media and by googling her. I do know that NP students in the other programs needed to be proactive in clinical placements. I think I am going to reach out to her, since it sounds like we're still going to be waiting a bit for the Hunter decisions to come out.

I applied for that school last year, got interviewed and unfortunately was not accepted. Hopefully things turn out good for all of us with hunter since its taking so long. 🙏🏻

Any update yet ?

The college is on Spring break this week, so I doubt we will hear anything until at least next week.

I just called now. I was told that it was a large amount of applicants and that they are still deciding. The person I spoke to said that we should hear back in a week or two... 🙂
