Hi!
I've submitted my NursingCas application for Hunter's Accelerated program in the Fall 2018 semester yesterday, but the more I read about how competitive their program is, I feel discouraged.
I graduated with a BS in Public Relations with 3.83 GPA and started my prereqs last year in January 2017. Currently, I'm only have Microbiology and Genetics to take which I will be taking at Hunter College this Spring 2018. I'm worried that because I haven't fulfilled my prereqs yet even though they say online that as long as the classes are done by June 1st they will accept it, I have this feeling like this is going to affect my chances.
I did most of my prereq classes at QCC and saved two prereq classes to take at Hunter since you have to be a matriculated student to even apply to Hunter's nursing program.
I took my NLN exam in November 2017 and got a composite score of 153. My current gpa at QCC is 3.78. My grades dipped in the fall 2017 semester because I was so stressed over the nln exam.
I've read Hunter Bellevue's website over and over again regarding their accelerated program, but I feel like my application is incomplete... When calculating total gpa, does Hunter average gpas from all colleges attended or only for the grades of the prereq classes?
It would be great for those to share your experiences, overall gpa, nln score etc on applying to this year's accelerated program. I read online that they are even conducting interviews to those chosen, but the forums i read were posted years ago. Did things change?
