  1. Also, I would call them as well as email them the unofficial transcript you received from Queens College. If they still want to see it, show them your unofficial one on cunyfirst and then tell them you'll send the official copy over.
  2. I've never had a problem getting in contact with the prenursing advisor. There were times when she was out of the office but most of the time I would call her any day between Monday - Friday from 11am-1pm. This is the number I call to speak to someone from the department - *(212) 396-7168‬.
  3. I got into their accelerated program with 3.88 GPA with pax score of 153. I received my acceptance email an hour ago.
  4. I just got my acceptance email from Hunter Bellevue!!!! Anyone else get theirs yet? I was pretty surprised to get a notice this early!
  5. Is this after nursingcas evaluates the application? So far I see nothing on the pdf regarding their gpa calculations. They recieved all my transcripts but have not evaluated it yet.
  6. Did you apply for the accelerated program? Do you know scores of your peers who are applying to accelerated program?
  7. I'm about finishing up my prerequisites this semester. I think you could definitely finish all your prerequisites in 1 year. It took me a little bit longer because I took 2 classes every semester including summer and winter semester. My pre reqs were algebra, English comp, statistics, AP 1, AP 2, general chem, organic chem, psycho101, Psych human growth and development, genetics, nutrition and microbiology. I would highly recommend summer and winter courses since they are shorter than a regular semester. You get the same 3-4credits in 5-7weeks compared to 4-5months in the fall/ spring.
  8. Thank you for responding! Are you in the accelerated program? When you go to nursingcas' website, are you able to see their calculation of the gpa?
  9. I hope I get in. It's so competitive...Even though my score and gpa are high, I don't know how competitive the pool would be this year for their accelerated program. I feel like my score and gpa are just average compared to hunter's standards. I haven't heard of anyone's scores and gpas od those applying to Hunters accelerated for this year so I can't compare and gauge whether or not I'm in good standing. You'll be fine with the test. Don't stress too much. You should call to see if your school offers calculators for the math section. I highly recommend going over chemistry and physics. Biology and anatomy questions are pretty easy therefore you can make educated guesses. I remember for my science component, there was basic math problem solving questions as well.
  10. I used the red book that the nln recommended. I tried to study for about an hour or at least 30mins every day for one month leading up to my nln exam. I would say to concentrate more on the science portion of the exam and brush up on math calculations. Don't spend too much time going over English because you won't get the same words on the Test. Everyone's exam questions will be different. my test didn't have any anatomy questions; majority of the questions was about chemistry and physics.
  11. I applied to hunters accelerated for this fall 2018 with my bachelors gpa of 3.83, pre req gpa around 3.8 and nln score of 153. I still have to take genetics and microbiology.
  12. I'm applying this year Fall 2018 and I scored 153 and have 3.83 gpa on bachelors and 3.78 on pre reqs which I still need to finish. I'm going to take micro and genetics at hunter this spring before the fall semester. Do you think i have a good chance? The advisor at the unfaession last summer stated that students on average had 3.8 gpa and 150-155 on scores... i feel like I'm just average if compared to those standards...
  13. Thank you for sharing! Did you get in to the accelerated program? Do you know what the average scores were for your year?
  14. May I ask what your gpa and nln score was? I'm applying to hunters accelersted program for fall 2018. Thank you!
  15. I went to their infosession in the summer but I don't remember them saying how many prerequisites we're allowed to be taken in the semester before the fall enrollment. Thanks for clarifying!
